Advent is a season of preparation and waiting for the celebration of Jesus' birth at Christmas. The season is a beautiful reminder to prepare our hearts, as we prepare our homes, to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus! The term advent is from the Latin translation of "coming." God's prophecies in the Old Testament prepared the way for His promise.
During December, Emmaus Church has chosen to artistically illustrate Advent in celebration of the promise of the Savior, Jesus Christ both at birth and looking forward to His return.
Traditionally, the Advent Season includes the four Sundays leading up to Christmas. Our Advent experience explores Advent through four essential themes: HOPE, LOVE, JOY, and PEACE. Each week we will focus on one key word for each week during the four weeks of Advent.
Our hope is that you walk away rejoicing in the many blessings we have in Jesus as we celebrate his coming.
On December 10th and 17th we invite you to come to our church Studio 108 space and join us for an experiential night from 6:00-7:30pm.
